Its purpose is to promote cooperation between institutions through their information units or libraries, to share resources and support the retrieval of documents (journal articles and book chapters), through reciprocal exchange and mutual support, strengthening the Interlibrary Loan at the national and international level.

INVITATION TO THE PROGRAM: All institutions, public, private, specialized, multidisciplinary, etc. are invited to participate in the Transnational Interlibrary Loan Program for the reciprocal exchange in the recovery of articles or chapters of books that are difficult to locate, at no cost to the participants, through this means. You may express your interest and participation at alma.cazares@anahuac.mx. If your response is positive, your library authority should be familiar with the guidelines presented in this section, as well as, send the FORM with your library's information, which should be signed by your library authorities as a demonstration of your commitment to participate in the mentioned service.
Guidelines
The agreement will be established with the institutions that request it, always taking into account the following guidelines.1.- The validity of the agreement is permanent.
2.- The service may be used when the requesting Institution has sent the required data and signature(s) of acceptance in the ANNEX FORM.
3.- The following policies apply to the sending of documents:

5.- Considering that the participation of the libraries should be equitable, it is requested to avoid requests for materials always from the same library and not to request more than 3 items on the same day.
6.- Within this agreement, and in accordance with the United States Copyright Law, no more than 5 articles from the same periodical title in a 5-year period of the publication may be requested and with respect to the Mexican Libraries, it is suggested to request their subscription to the publication when the demand for a title is justified.
7.- Requests should include complete and relevant bibliohemerographic data (title of the article or book chapter, author, title of the journal or book, volume, number, year or imprint, and required pages).

9.- It is suggested that you exhaust all local possibilities and resources to obtain the required material from a library within your own country before requesting assistance from libraries in another country. In order to provide this service in an efficient manner, all participating libraries are requested to send their request for material through: E-mail (preferably) and telephone.
10.- If your library agrees to provide the requested material, please send a confirmation message and make every effort to send the requested material within 72 hours or less.
11.- Each library reserves the right to provide the requested material in any case. If it is subsequently decided not to send the material, the reason why it cannot be provided should be indicated, for example, that the volume is lost or that the title is not available, that the limit of requests has been exceeded, etc.
12.- Changes of address and personnel authorized to provide the service must be notified as soon as possible via e-mail and/or telephone to jespino@anahuac.mx in order to update the data and have reliable information for the optimal operation of the service.
13.- All libraries participating in this service agree to respect or adhere to the Copyright Law of each nation.
14.- Mexican libraries will be governed by the Interlibrary Loan Code of ABIESI and U.S. libraries will be governed by the Interlibrary Loan Code of the American Library Association.

Anahuac Users Request
This service is offered to users of the Universidad Anáhuac México Campus Norte (Professors, Researchers, graduate and undergraduate students), and allows the possibility of requesting through the Library articles or book chapters that are difficult to find in other institutions through the agreements established through the Transnational Interlibrary Loan Program Mexico, United States, Spain and Latin American countries.Request your article or book chapter

1.- The service is from Institution to Institution through the Information Units or Libraries. Therefore, no Institution will attend personal requests without the Library's knowledge.
2.- Users are suggested to exhaust all possible sources and local search resources to obtain the required material within their Library before requesting this service (catalogs, collections, indexes, databases, etc.).
3.- Users should send their request to jespino@anahuac.mx, with clear, legible, complete data (title of the journal or book, vol., no., year or imprint, title of the article or book chapter, author and required pages). To speed up your search it is important to specify the sites already researched (incomplete requests will not be accepted).
4.- If requesting the material by e-mail, please indicate in the subject line:

5.- A maximum of three references per format will be located. Articles should not exceed 20 pages each.
6.- Articles will be sent by e-mail with the commitment to send acknowledgement of receipt by the user to the sender or to the library mailbox.
7.- The result of the search will be informed within 72 hours, either positive or negative. If possible, the search period will be extended for up to 5 days.
In case the article is found in another Institution that is not participating in the Program and has a cost, the user will be notified and he/she will decide if he/she will absorb the cost of recovery.

11.- Mexican libraries shall be governed by the Interlibrary Loan Code of the ABIESI and American libraries shall be governed by the Interlibrary Loan Code of the American Library Association.
