Its purpose is to foster cooperation between institutions through their information units or libraries, to share resources and support the retrieval of documents (journal articles and book chapters), through reciprocal exchange and mutual support, strengthening the Interlibrary Loans on a national and international level.

REQUIREMENTS: Be a member of an Institution with which there is an agreement.
Program Invitation: All institutions, public, private, specialized, multidisciplinary, etc., are invited to participate in the Transnational Interlibrary Loan Program for reciprocal exchange in the retrieval of articles or chapters of books that are difficult to find, at no cost to the participants, through this channel. You can express your interest and participation emailing alma.cazares@anahuac.mx. If your response is favorable, your library authority should know the guidelines presented in this section, as well as submit the FORM with your library’s information, which must be signed by your library authorities as proof of your commitment to participate in said service.
Guidelines
The agreement will be established with the Institutions that request it, always taking into account the guidelines presented below.1.- The validity of the agreement is permanent.
2.- The service may be used when the requesting Institution has submitted the required data and signature(s) of acceptance in the ATTACHED FORM.
3.- For submitting documents, the following policies shall be observed:

5.- Considering that all libraries should participate equally, requests for materials always from the same library, and for more than 3 items on the same day, are to be avoided.
6.- Within this agreement, and in accordance with the United States Copyright Law, no more than 5 articles from the same issue of a journal within a period of 5 years of publication may be requested, and with regard to Mexican Libraries, we suggest that they subscribe to the journal when the demand for a certain title justifies it.
7.- Requests must include complete and relevant bibliographic data (title of the article or chapter of the book, author, title of the journal or book, vol., issue, year or imprint, and pages required).

9.- We recommend exhausting all the local possibilities and resources to obtain the required material from a library within your own country before requesting assistance from libraries in other countries. To provide this service efficiently, all participating libraries are asked to submit their request for material by: e-mail (preferably) or telephone.
10.- If your library agrees to provide the requested material, please send a confirmation message and do everything possible to send the requested material within 72 hours or less.
11.- Each library reserves the right to provide the requested material, in any case. If it is later decided not to send the material, the reason why it cannot be provided must be indicated; e.g., that said volume is lost or that the title is not available, that the request limit has already been exceeded, etc.
12.- The changes of address and personnel authorized to provide the service must be notified as soon as possible via email and/or telephone to jespino@anahuac.mx, to update the data and have reliable information for the optimal operation of the service.
13.- All libraries participating in this service agree to respect or adhere to the Copyright Law of each nation.
14.- Mexican libraries will be governed by the ABIESI Interlibrary Loan Code, and American libraries will be governed by the Interlibrary Loan Code of the American Library Association.

Request for Anahuac Users
This service is provided to users from the Anahuac Mexico University North Campus (professors, researchers, graduate and undergraduate thesis students). It allows the possibility of requesting, via the Library, journal articles or book chapters that are difficult to find, from among the materials held in other institutions through the agreements established via the Transnational Interlibrary Loan Program for Mexico, the United States, Spain, and Latin American countries.REQUEST FOR BIBLIOGRAPHIC MATERIAL
1.- The service is from institution to institution through the Information Units or Libraries. Therefore, no institution will receive personal requests without the Library’s knowledge.
2.- Users are encouraged to exhaust all possible local search sources and resources to obtain the required material within their Library before requesting this service. (catalogs, collections, indexes, databases, etc.).
3.- Users must submit their request to jespino@anahuac.mx, with clear, legible, complete information (title of the journal or book, volume, issue, year or imprint, title of the article or chapter of the book, author and pages required). To speed up your search, it is important to specify what sites you have already searched (incomplete requests will not be processed).
4.- If the material is requested by e-mail, in the subject line, please use:
TRANSNATIONAL INTERLIBRARY LOAN (PIT/ILL)
5.- Up to three references per form will be located. Articles should not exceed 20 pages each.
6.- The articles will be sent by email with user committing to acknowledge receipt to the sender or to the library mailbox.
7.- The search result, whether positive or negative, will be reported in a range of 72 hours. If possible, the search period will be extended up to 5 days.
If the article is located in another institution that is not a member of the Program, and has a cost, the user will be informed and he/she will decide whether to cover the expense.

9.- Users agree to observe and adhere to the Copyright Law of each nation and may not request more than 5 articles from the same title of a journal in a range of 5 years of publication; therefore, we suggest that they ask the Library to subscribe to said journal when the demand for it justifies said action.
10.- Users must keep in mind that each library reserves the right to provide the requested material, in any case.
11.- Mexican libraries will be governed by the ABIESI Interlibrary Loan Code, and American libraries will be governed by the Interlibrary Loan Code of the American Library Association.
