On April 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The library of the Universidad Anáhuac México, with the participation of the School of Arts and Radio Anáhuac, celebrated International Book Day 2023 on both campuses.
Within the framework of the book festival and with the theme "From the book to the script", the university community participated by recommending and sharing the reading of a text from a book that has been made into a film.
The inauguration and first reading was carried out by the Rector, Father Cipriano Sánchez García, in addition to the participation of vice-rectors, directors of Schools and Faculties, academics, students and administrative staff. In addition, as part of the intermission there was an intervention by students from the School of Arts with an Arab dance and a classical dance. Radio Anahuac also joined the celebration with its usual programming, dedicating its programs to this event.
Miguel de la Cruz, current Coordinator of Culture in El Once news, also participated, who also kindly collaborated with the presentation of the book "El secreto de la casa de Tacubaya" by the writer Gabriela Ochoa.
The publishing house Educal/FCE participated in this celebration at North Campus for the sale of books at affordable prices. And at South Campus, KAMITE was present for the sale of comics.
In the event, the first 5 places of the "Take a Selfie and win" contest were awarded as part of the celebration of "International Book Day 2023" in which the contestants would take a Selfie with some of the images of movie characters that were created in books and would share it on social networks with the hashtag #AnáhuacDIL2023. The Selfie with the highest number of "likes" would win. We congratulate Emilio Vega Núñez @e_vega_15 for first place with his 342 "likes"
As part of the celebration, from April 24 to 28, the library gave away books in good condition to the university community. The headquarters was the 3rd. floor of the library building in North Campus.
We thank our university community and our authorities for their support and participation in this celebration.
