Bioethics for prof. Maroun BADR
Bioethics, as the intersection of several fields, is a way of thinking, a lifestyle and a place where the spoken/written word carries a certain authority and resonance in defense of life and human dignity.
The research project that he has enjoyed the most has been:
The research project of my PhD thesis entitled: “Women's autonomy between personal freedom and public health. Application to abortion and contraception, and bioethical issues in the French context of the Sustainable Development Goals”. This research work has enabled me to situate acts of abortion and contraception on another level by linking bioethical debates with the SDGs and addressing ethical issues of global significance. It was in this context that I was able to delve deeper into the role of by biolaw and biopolitics. That is why in my current research I continue to explore these subjects to defend the rights of women and girls through a holistic approach.
