Dr. Alberto García UNESCO Chair in Bioethics and Human Rights and Dr. Maria Ines Girault Coordinator of the online master’s degree in Global Bioethics.
On August 13th, 2019, Dr. Garcia and Dr. Girault visited the Edmund Pellegrino Center for Clinical Bioethics at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. This visit started with Dr. Claudia Sotomayor who is the Associate Director for Academic Programs and is also professor for the online Master in Global Bioethics and the Universidad Anahuac.
After the meeting she gave them a tour of the Center and they got to meet Dr. Kevin Donovan, Director if the Pellegrino Center for Clinical Bioethics. He was very glad to hear that the Master in Global Bioethics had a great start.
They also had the opportunity to meet with Dr. James J. Giordano, Chief Neuroethics Studies Program for the Pellegrino Center and professor. He shared with them among other things, the recent issues and questions arising of brain science, medicine and society. His ongoing projects addressing the validity and value of applications and newly developed neuroscientific techniques and technologies in global health. His ongoing research on Artificial Intelligence.
