Elizabeth Ochola is an alumni of Anáhuac University where she graduated with an M.S. in Global Bioethics. She also holds a Master of Science in Medical Parasitology and a Ph.D. in Geography (Health) from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. Her interdisciplinary training in Environment and Public Health has motivated her to explore the impact of structural inequalities on the health and wellbeing of marginalized populations. Her current research in bioethics examines vaccine ethics (vaccine inequity and hesitancy) in light of the COVID-19 pandemic in the global north and south. Her other interests are in human enhancement technologies, big data and human rights.
