Cognitive and clinic profile of volatile substance users
Abstract
Introduction. Inhalant use disorder has increased in spite of its adverse medical consequences. Due to the inherent difficulties of working with this population, so far there has been no quantifiable clinical evidence of the cognitive characteristics of inhalants users in early withdrawal and the clinic effect of consumption time.
Objective. To evaluate the clinical and cognitive performance of inhalant users and the clinic effects of consumption time.
Psychological impact of sociodemographic factors and medical conditions in older adults during the COVID-19 pandemic in Mexico
Abstract
Introduction. Older adults are not only at a higher medical risk during the COVID-19 pandemic, but they may also be a group particularly vulnerable to mental health diminishing.
Objective. To analyze the effect of some sociodemographic factors (sex and age) and medical conditions (diabetes and hypertension) on mental health and concerns about COVID-19 in a sample of older adults.
Persistence of symptoms in dengue patients: a clinical cohort study
Abstract
Background
Dengue is commonly considered an acute illness and follows three phases: febrile, critical in some cases and recovery. However, a number of studies have described a continuation of dengue symptoms for weeks or months, extending the recovery phase. Here we evaluate this persistence of dengue symptoms during convalescence.
