The coordinator of doctorates from the Faculty of Bioethics joined the symposium on the importance of the humanities in the training of health personnel.
From November 22 to 25, 2021, the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) inaugurated the "XVI National Forum and II International Health Education" in which more than 30 specialists from Mexico, Spain, Chile, United States and United Kingdom participated virtually to share their experiences and challenges in teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic in the form of keynotes, workshops, and good practices.
Among the attendees stood out Dr. Yael Zonenszain Laiter, coordinator of the doctoral program of the Faculty of Bioethics, who joined the symposium "Importance of the humanism in the training of health personnel", in which she explained the basic concepts of the humanism to the academic proposal for comprehensive training in medicine offered at the Universidad Anáhuac México through the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Faculty of Bioethics, as well as the issues involved in teaching bioethics and its limitations in practice clinic.
In this way, she concluded that the teaching humanism within the area of health is essential so that adequate preparation can be achieved to evaluate, through scientific, philosophical, and legal reasoning, the problems, and ethical conflicts that personnel may face in the area of life and health.
