At this meeting, a detailed report on the last two issues of the magazine, corresponding to the year 2024, was presented.
On June 11, 2024, the semiannual information meeting of the Scientific Council and the Editorial Committee of the international journal of Bioethics, Deontology and Medical Ethics, Medicine and Ethics was held, which began its edition in April 1990 and has been published uninterruptedly since then, being the first publication on Bioethics in Mexico.
At this meeting, a detailed report was presented on the last two issues of the magazine, corresponding to the year 2024, and the figures for views, downloads, as well as the acceptance and rejection rates of published works were highlighted.
In addition, the most downloaded articles were shared, the ongoing indexing processes and the requirements sent for indexing in RedaLyC were discussed, as well as the future plan for this same process in Scopus.
An important point of the meeting was the presentation of the Second Meeting of RIU Researchers, which will be held at the Francisco de Vitoria University in Madrid, Spain, an event that will serve to promote the journal Medicina y Ética, as well as new authors and adjudicators.
Finally, it was announced that the next meeting of the council will be on November 27, 2024 and Dr. José Alberto Castilla Barajas, deputy director of the School of Bioethics, was introduced, who spoke a few words.
