The objective of this project is to promote and provide free health care services to the settlers of the San Fernando community, offering them assistance from a bioethical point of view.
On Saturday, October 14, 2023, the Health Days were held in the community of San Fernando, a town in the Huixquilucan municipality, in the State of Mexico. These activities were organized by members of ASUA, the DIF of Huixquilucan and various programs of the Universidad Anáhuac México, including the Alpha Health Sciences Leadership Program, the Federation of Student Societies (FESAL), Rema Pastoral Universitaria, the Anáhuac Institute of Public Health (IASP), the School of Health Sciences and for the first time the School of Bioethics.
The objective of this project is to promote and provide free health care services to community members in an interdisciplinary manner, including medical, dental, nutritional and physiotherapy care.
Representing the School of Bioethics, Dr. José Alberto Castilla, deputy director of the School, and social service interns Jaqueline Pratt, Jimena Muñoz, Mariana Herrera, Inés Marquina and Silvia Becerra participated, who actively joined the event, leaving a positive impact on the community and offering assistance from the bioethical field.
On this first day they focused on identifying areas of opportunity in which said School could contribute significantly. To achieve this, the students provided medical care and accompanied the Bachelor of Medicine students in their consultations.
