On January 22, 2025, the monthly meeting of the Querida Amazonía Study Group was held, chaired by Mtro. Eduardo Casillas, which was titled "Social justice and civilizational crisis. Hope in times of uncertainty" and brought together various participants interested in analyzing current challenges from a perspective of the common good and the construction of collective hope.

During the session, relevant topics were addressed such as the impact of global crises on vulnerable communities, pollution and emissions, the balanced management of natural resources and the need to rethink the imperialist model of life. They also reflected on the importance of developing alternative thinking that promotes innovative solutions to contemporary problems, with a special focus on migration and social justice.

This meeting concluded with the active participation of the attendees, who shared their concerns and reflections on the topics discussed, thus enriching the dialogue with diverse perspectives.

The Querida Amazonía community looks forward with enthusiasm to the next meeting, in which it will continue to generate spaces for debate around global challenges, inspired by the encyclicals of Pope Francis and the search for a more just and sustainable world.
