This Radio Anahuac program seeks, through doctors María Elizabeth de los Ríos and Antonio Muñoz, to be a source of information that opens the conversation on relevant bioethical issues.
On August 14, 2023, we resumed the transmission of the Bioética-mente radio program of our Faculty of Bioethics, which stopped broadcasting on Radio Anáhuac in December 2019.
In this first program, we had the honor of having the participation of Dr. Mónica Osio Saldaña as our guest. Dr. Osio is a physician attached to the Hospital Juárez de México and is pursuing a master's degree in Bioethics at the Universidad Anáhuac México. In addition to her outstanding academic training, she has a master's degree in palliative care from the University of La Rioja in Spain.
She has complemented her experience with various diplomas, including pain treatment, opioid prescription and palliative care at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara. She has also delved into complementary medicine in palliative care at the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN). Her knowledge covers fields such as bioethics and law, having studied at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and health law at the Anahuac University of Mexico.
On this occasion, Dr. Osio expertly addressed the issue of assisted suicide and euthanasia, providing enlightening perspectives on these delicate issues.
The program seeks to address different issues of bioethics applied to the current situation. There is also an open space for people on social networks to send their questions or comments, which are exposed during the transmission.
Bioética-mente (anahuac.mx/mexico/radio/programas/bioeticamente) is broadcast every Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Radio Anáhuac and is hosted by Dr. María Elizabeth de los Ríos, Research Coordinator of the Faculty of Bioethics, and Dr. Antonio Muñoz, coordinator of Bioethics subjects in Bachelor's degree.
