We recognize the ethical commitment of our Graduates in Bioethics

Celebrating academic success alongside an unwavering commitment to ethics in professional practice.

In an emotional ceremony held at the Universidad Anáhuac México on February 29, 2024, a select group of graduates received their diploma at different postgraduate levels in Bioethics. 

Among the notable graduates is María Bernardita Portales Velazco, who obtained the title of Doctor in Bioethics, along with Gustavo Pérez Berlanga, who also completed his Doctorate in this discipline with Honorable Mention. Doctor Pérez Berlanga completed his thesis on global bioethics in a private sector company, focusing on “The application of global bioethical principles in the commercial determinants of health in the ultra-processed foods and sugary beverages industry.”

The ceremony also paid tribute to José Luis Bizueto Monroy, a prominent general surgeon, who successfully completed his Master's Degree in Bioethics, reaffirming his commitment to ethical reflection in the field of medicine. Additionally, the dedication of Juan Antonio Tabares Hernández and Diego Iván Rodríguez Domínguez, who completed the Master's Degree in Bioethics Studies, was recognized.

The event, which attracted a select audience of academics, healthcare professionals and leaders in corporate social responsibility, represented a moment of celebration and recognition of the work and dedication of the graduates. Those who attended in person were honored with their diplomas in a symbolic gesture of their achievement, while the dedication and effort of all graduates was recognized, regardless of their type of study.

This graduation not only marks the end of an academic stage, but also the beginning of a continuous commitment to the ethical principles that guide actions in the field of bioethics. As a School of Bioethics, we are proud of these graduates and trust that they will carry the spirit of ethics with them in every step of their professional careers.
