Meet and Greet

Students, graduates and professors of all the postgraduate courses offered by the School of Bioethics shared their testimonies with colleagues on this field of research.

 

On February 23, we held a Meet and Greet moderated by the research coordinator of the School of Bioethics, Dr. María Elizabeth de los Ríos, in which students, graduates and professors of all the postgraduate courses offered by said Faculty, met and delved into the challenges in bioethics of today and tomorrow.

 

This space began with the numbers of the Anahuac postgraduate courses and the presentation of the doctors Claudia Ruiz Sotomayor (Master's in Bioethics, gen. '11), head of the clinical bioethics consultation service at the Pellegrino Center for Clinical Bioethics and professor at the Georgetown University School of Medicine, and Adriana Templos Esteban (Master in Bioethics Online, gen. '19), head of the palliative care division and pain clinic at the Dr. Manuel Gea González General Hospital.

 

Also participating were doctors León Budrie (Master in Global Bioethics, gen. '21), member of the English-Speaking Caribbean Bioethics Society and the Christian Medical and Dental Association; Carlos Alberto Román Collazo (Master in Bioethics, gen. '20), associate researcher of the Secretariat of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (Senescyt) Ecuador 2018 and National Award of the Cuban Academy of Sciences (2003), and Ludwig Frontier (Master in Global Bioethics, gen. '22), PhD in Health Sciences with a specialization in Global Health from A.T. Still and member of the Humans Right Campaign, AABB, AASS and APHA, who shared their testimonials about what the Master's in Bioethics contributed to their professional development and how they apply it in their work activities.

 

Finally, a forum was opened to address questions related to the direction of bioethics and how to collaborate in the mission of the Faculty of Bioethics of the Universidad Anahuac México. In addition, the importance of continuing to open spaces like these to make bioethics grow was discussed.
