Margarita Otero Lamas joins the ANMB

The incorporation of Dr. Otero strengthens the interdisciplinary dialogue in bioethics, promoting strategies for ethics in health, research and medical decision-making in Mexico.

 

On January 31, 2025, Dr. Margarita Otero Lamas, a distinguished academic and member of the School of Bioethics, officially joined the Mexican National Academy of Bioethics (ANMB) State of Mexico chapter, thus consolidating her commitment to the strengthening and development of this discipline in the country.

 

Her incorporation represents a significant advance in the promotion of interdisciplinary work within this field, with the aim of promoting strategies and reflections that strengthen ethics in health, research and medical decision-making.

Dr. Otero Lamas, recognized for her career in the analysis and teaching of bioethics, joins a group of specialists who work in favor of respect, dignity and the rights of patients. Her incorporation into the ANMB will contribute to the generation of innovative proposals and the consolidation of a stronger bioethics community in Mexico.

 

It is worth mentioning that the Mexican National Academy of Bioethics is a world reference in the discussion of bioethical dilemmas, by promoting dialogue and collaboration between experts from various disciplines.
