Dr. José Alberto Castilla Barajas, new director of the School of Bioethics

We say goodbye to Dr. Fernando Fabó, who played the role of director since July 2021 and who leaves an indelible mark on the School.

In a significant step for the members of the School of Bioethics of the Universidad Anáhuac México, Dr. José Alberto Castilla Barajas was appointed as the new director, a position he has held since July 1, 2024.

This appointment marks the end of an era, as Dr. Fernando Fabó Martín, L.C., who served as director since July 2021, has left an indelible mark on the School, although he will continue his valuable work in the field of research making continuous contributions to the field of bioethics.

Previously, Dr. Castilla served as Deputy Director demonstrating leadership and dedication, driving key initiatives and strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration. Its focus on the promotion of bioethics and high-level comprehensive academic training has been fundamental for the growth and recognition of the School of Bioethics at a national and international level.

We extend our sincere congratulations to the new director on this well-deserved promotion and wish him every success in his new role. We are confident that, under your guidance, we will continue to advance towards new horizons in the research and application of ethics in the medical field.
