International Book Day: The role of letters

The Read Aloud Picnic was an activity that brought together students, teachers and administrative staff to enjoy the magic of words and the pleasure of reading.

On Thursday, April 18, the Anáhuac University Library became the perfect setting to celebrate International Book Day with a very special event: the Reading Aloud Picnic. On this occasion, two prominent members of the School of Bioethics, Doctor José Alberto Castilla and Doctor Patricia Hernández Valdéz, joined this cultural initiative to share their passion for reading with the university community.

The Reading Aloud Picnic was an activity that brought together students, teachers and administrative staff in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, where the magic of words was enjoyed and the pleasure of reading was celebrated. Each participant had the opportunity to select an excerpt from their favorite book to read aloud and share it with those present.

Doctor José Alberto Castilla, expert in Bioethics, captivated the audience with an extract from "Bioethics Manual 1. Fundamentals and Biomedical Ethics", written by the eminent author Elio Sgreccia strong>. His election not only reflected his deep knowledge in the field of bioethics, but also his commitment to the dissemination of ideas that promote ethical reflection in society.
