With the skills and tools from the Master in global Bioethics he will be able to participate in the National Health Sciences Research Committee with better knowledge to take Ethical decisions.
Fr. Venancio Chimchenga is a Catholic Priest from Dedza Diocese in Malawi, Africa. He was ordained on 2nd July 2005- by 2nd July 2022, he has been a priest for 17 years.
The Fr. has worked as Hospital chaplain at Dedza District Hospital, Health center, he has been administrator at Kanyama, Parish Priest at St. Joseph-Chiphwanya Parish, bursar, teacher and farm manager at St.Kizito Minor Seminary and as Diocesan Treasurer General of Dedza Diocese.
Currently he is a Parish Priest of Corpus Christi – Ntcheu Parish. On top of that he is assisting at the Secretariat of National Health Sciences Research Committee; a National Review Committee-on voluntary basis. Academically, he holds certificate in Philosophy and social science, Certificate in Financial Accounting, Bachelor of Divinity, Master of Business Administration in Finance (MBA in Finance) and finally he has finished and received his Master´s in Global Bioethics Degree.
He shared these words about his experience:
"The course is enriching but rigorous and tough. It is not for lazy people because it is very involving. So much so that one needs; the will to do it, self-discipline, interest in it and hard work".
He has made friends with this fellow cohort and keeps in contact with them. With the skills and tools from the Master in Global Bioethics he will be able to participate in the National Health Sciences Research Committee with a better knowledge to take Ethical Decisions. He also plans to teach at the University.
