On October 18, the meeting of the Advisory Council of the School of Bioethics took place, chaired by Father Fernando Fabó and Dr. José Alberto Castilla Barajas, directors of the school, together with the distinguished members of the Advisory Committee, including the doctors Dora Gilda Mayén Molina, Ana María Millán Velázquez, Martha Tarasco Michel and Erika Benitez Camacho, as well as doctors José Damián Carrillo, Luis Alejandro Weber Sánchez, Oscar Javier Martinez Gonzalez, José Antonio Moreno Sánchez, Samuel Weingerz Mehl and José Manuel Madrazo Cabo.
These meetings are intended to incorporate the opinion of professionals of excellence, with leadership skills, in order to enhance the development and connection of the School of Bioethics, consolidating its prestige, supporting its growth and strengthening its identity.
On this occasion, the meeting began with the presentation of the Numeralia, followed by an institutional breakfast of advice, during which the events related to the 60th anniversary of the Universidad Anáhuac México were discussed, with special emphasis on the national agreement for peace and an international conference.
Regarding the School's Graduate programs, all programs were analyzed in detail, highlighting the following points:
The projection for the year 2024 of the online Master's Degree in Bioethics Studies in Spanish was addressed.
The current panorama of the Master in Global Bioethics, which is taught in English, was evaluated.
The new opening of the Doctorate in Applied Bioethics was reported for August 2024.
The profile of the professors was considered and the change of day for the in-person Master's in Bioethics was discussed.
It should be noted that the council meeting stood out for the collaboration and willingness of its members to join forces and work as a team.
