The presentation was held at the National Bioethics Commission, where he addressed the situation in our country in terms of the need for trained bioethicists in the clinical area.
On October 24, Dr. María Elizabeth de los Rios Uriarte, professor and researcher at the Faculty of Bioethics of our Anahuac Mexico University, invited by the National Bioethics Commission (Conbioética) within the framework of its 30th anniversary, gave the conference “Clinical bioethics: the future of bioethics in Mexico”.
During his presentation, he spoke about bioethics consulting services and how they respond to the need to issue suggestions for the resolution of ethical dilemmas in situations of clinical uncertainty.
He also addressed the different possibilities of clinical bioethics in the future, the role of bioethics committees and the most frequent problems they face, bioethics consulting services, among other interesting topics.
In conclusion, Dr. de los Rios Uriarte considered that the situation in Mexico requires bioethicists trained in the clinical area for prompt care and ethical guidance in hospital decisions.
