The academic from our School of Bioethics was recognized for her contribution in the field of health and biomedical research, establishing herself as a key figure in the training of new generations of professionals.
The academic and scientific community celebrates the recent certificate of continuity granted to Dr. Claudia Lerma González as a Level 3 National Researcher of the National System of Researchers (SNI) of the National Council of Humanities, Sciences and Technologies (Conahcyt), an outstanding recognition that underlines their dedication, rigor and excellence in biomedical research.
Lerma González has a doctorate in Biomedical Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She currently works as a researcher in Medical Sciences D at the Ignacio Chávez National Institute of Cardiology, where she has contributed significantly to the advancement of knowledge in her field.
Her work focuses on crucial lines of research, ranging from the non-linear analysis of cardiovascular signals in different groups of patients, to the non-invasive identification of predictors of ventricular cardiac arrhythmias and the risk of sudden cardiac death. It also investigates the interrelationship between anxiety, depression and nutrition in patients with chronic kidney failure, topics that are of vital importance to improve the quality of life of these patients.
Likewise, she is dedicated to the methodological design, analysis and interpretation of applied data in medical and health sciences, which reflects her commitment to innovation and continuous improvement in research.
In addition to her research work, Dr. Claudia Lerma is a prominent professor and tutor in postgraduate programs in Health Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Medical and Biological Physics at UNAM, as well as Health Sciences and Bioethics at the University Anahuac Mexico.
