The ANMB presented its new directive in a solemn ceremony that underlined the importance of bioethics in the current context of medicine and technology.
On August 21, 2024, the Ángeles Metropolitano Hospital hosted the ceremony to change the board of directors of the Mexican National Academy of Bioethics (ANMB) for the period 2024-2026, an event that brought together prominent academics and professionals from the health sector.
This event brought together distinguished academics and professionals from the health sector, reinforcing the Academy's commitment to promoting and strengthening bioethics in Mexico. During the ceremony, the participation of key members of the School of Bioethics of the Universidad Anáhuac México stood out. Martha Patricia Hernández Valdez was appointed Vice President of the Academy, while José Alberto Castilla Barajas assumed the position of Secretary of Organization.
These appointments are a source of great pride for the School, which recognizes and celebrates the achievements of its members in the field of bioethics.
The event also featured an inspiring speech by the new President of the ANMB, Dr. Francisco Javier Ochoa Carrillo, who highlighted the importance of bioethics in the context of rapid scientific and technological advances.
Ochoa Carrillo called on health professionals to be defenders of ethics in their respective areas and emphasized the need for solid bioethical training, interdisciplinary dialogue, and a strong social and innovative commitment.
