The institution strengthens its commitment to the defense of human dignity and biolaw, joining an initiative that promotes study and reflection in Latin America.
In an effort to disseminate and strengthen Carlo Casini's legacy in Latin America, Anáhuac University Mexico joined the Carlo Casini International Chair, an initiative that seeks to promote the study and reflection on biolaw, biojuridical science, and the recognition of human dignity, fundamental aspects in the defense of human rights and respect for life.
On March 22, 2025, the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (UCSC) in Rome hosted the second spirituality conference entitled "Walking with Carlo Casini, a testimony of hope." This event brought together experts, academics, and people interested in Casini's work, who shared testimonies about his influence on law and bioethics, as well as his tireless commitment to the defense of life and social justice.
The event provided a space for profound reflection and strengthened interest in continuing to disseminate his ideas throughout the world. Specialists and academics discussed the challenges and advances in the field of biolaw, highlighting the relevance of the fundamental principles Carlo Casini championed throughout his career.
The importance of continuing to create spaces for dialogue and study on these issues was also emphasized, promoting academic research and training professionals with a solid ethical and legal foundation. Specifically, the Carlo Casini International Chair aims to bring together various universities and institutions committed to the defense of human dignity and fundamental rights.
With this participation, Anáhuac México reaffirms its commitment to promoting human values and the study of law in relation to human dignity. Through its participation in the Carlo Casini International Chair, the university seeks to establish itself as a key player in the dissemination of the Italian jurist's thought in Latin America, fostering critical analysis and the development of public policies aimed at defending life and human dignity.
