On April 20, 2023, Dr. Alfonso Caballero Lobato (Master's in Bioethics, gen. '94) received the 2022 “Ezequiel Ordoñez Aguilar” Medal of Social Merit due to his constant social work in the City of Lerma, State of Mexico.
Miguel Ángel Ramírez Ponce, municipal president of Lerma, addressed a few words to Dr. Caballero in which he emphasized his attitude of service and love for all his patients and the people around him.
Dr. Caballero is an example to follow as an Anahuac leader in Humanism because he exercises his profession with great passion, generosity, and commitment, providing first-class medical care at affordable prices, since he believes that the right to health must be affordable to all people. population, not just the privilege of some. His great social commitment has led him to be recognized as a great doctor, but above all as a great human being.

Alfonso Caballero Lobato is originally from Seville, Spain, with a degree in Medicine from the University of Seville, an institution where later, through the Faculty of Medicine at the Virgen Macarena University Hospital, he obtained his specialty in traumatology. In Mexico, he has studied Hospital Center Management at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and a Master's Degree in Bioethics from the Anahuac University of Mexico.
Dr. Caballero has developed a special sensitivity for the needs of the most vulnerable, which is why since the beginning of his professional career he has worked as a Social Security doctor at the Provincial Hospital of San Lázaro, the oldest existing hospital in your natal city.
In 1986, he received an invitation from the Universidad Anáhuac México and the tenor Plácido Domingo Embil to join the Community Development Center (CIDECO) program in Lerma de Villada, a project that arises as a response and support to the needs of the victims. by the 1985 earthquake, with a triple vision: to offer housing, schools and health to the survivors and their families.
As director of the Agustín García Envil Clinic of CIDECO, belonging to the Fundación Social Anáhuac México, he has stood out for his commitment to the project and to each of his patients. In addition, it has developed and implemented different social programs, helping with the Universidad Anahuac México and the W.K. Kellog Foundation.
In 2005, he took on a new professional challenge with the opening of a private practice in the City of Lerma de Villada, but with the same spirit of service and generosity that have characterized him throughout his professional career, in which he has collaborated constantly with the Institute of Health of the State of Mexico (ISEM) and the Universidad Anahuac México.
He has been recognized on multiple occasions by private and public institutions at the national level, among which are the Universidad Anáhuac México, with the Anahuac Medal with Special Mention 2002; the Mano Amiga “Cualcán” School; the City Council, the House of Culture of Lerma and the Municipal Council of Culture of Lerma, who recognized him for his altruistic and disinterested work in favor of the development of the community, and Fundación Televisa, who recognized him "for making his love for others a mission of health”, among others.
