During this strategic meeting, important advances in academic programs, research, outreach, and the challenges facing the institution this year were discussed.

 

The School of Bioethics held a key advisory board meeting to assess progress made and outline strategies for the future. During the session, essential topics were addressed to consolidate academic quality, promote research and strengthen institutional alliances.

 

The first point discussed was the program of analysis, where the subtopics related to the academic programs offered were reviewed. Advances in the Master's Degree in Bioethics, the PhD in Bioethics, the Master in Global Bioethics, the online Master's Degree in Bioethics and the new Master's Degree in Palliative Care were discussed. These proposals continue to position the School as a leader in the training of bioethics specialists at a national and international level.

 

In the area of ​​research, the achievements of the journal Medicina y Ética were highlighted, which has become an academic reference for its impact and the quality of its publications. The members of the board stressed the importance of continuing to generate innovative articles that address contemporary ethical dilemmas.

 

The topic of partnership was also central to the meeting. Emphasis was placed on the agreements established with the prestigious Melisa Institute, a collaboration that opens up new opportunities for joint research and academic exchange.

 

Finally, the challenges for 2025 were discussed, including strengthening support for graduates and integrating a common thread into undergraduate programs, with the aim of ensuring comprehensive training that prepares students to face the ethical challenges of today's world.
