On July 11, 2024, Dr. Abel Lerma Talamantes, professor at the School of Bioethics of the Universidad Anáhuac México, received the certificate of continuity as National Level I Researcher of the National System of Researchers (SNI), awarded by the National Council of Humanities, Sciences and Technologies (Conahcyt).
This recognition, valid from 2025 to 2029, highlights their valuable work in the field of clinical, psychological and epidemiological research.
Dr. Lerma Talamantes currently focuses on various lines of research, among which the development, cultural adaptation, translation, re-translation, validation and reliability of clinimetric and psychometric instruments to evaluate patients with chronic diseases, as well as general populations or specific. It also works on the diagnosis and validation of psychoemotional interventions in chronic patients, the study of clinical, epidemiological and psychological variables in different populations, as well as the evaluation of predictive and explanatory models of risk factors for chronic diseases.
“This recognition not only represents a highly relevant distinction, but also a responsibility and a constant challenge to maintain the link with academia and strengthen collaboration with researchers in various hospital, educational and socio-community environments,” shared Dr. Lerma Talamantes.
Likewise, he highlighted his motivation to continue his work as a teacher, tutor and researcher at Anáhuac México, contributing to scientific and social progress.
