Stability of ampicillin and penicillin minor determinants used in penicillin skin testing

Abstract

Reagents for penicillin skin testing are prepared daily; preparation in advance could provide a cost-effective solution for practitioners. This study describes the stability of ampicillin and penicillin minor determinants, supporting the activity of once-weekly preparation for minor penicillin determinants and twice-weekly for ampicillin.
