Volunteers participate in Anahuac Reforestation 2024
Liderazgo Anáhuac en RSU y Sostenibilidad
Members of Anahuac Mexico University led this activity that took place in the town of San Jacinto in the State of Mexico.
On August 24, 2024, a total of 45 volunteers, including students, administrative staff and family members, participated in the Anahuac 2024 Reforestation Day in the town of San Jacinto, Huixquilucan in the State of Mexico, an activity organized by the Department for Social Commitment, the Anahuac University Social Action Program ASUA, the Impulsa Social Commitment Leadership Program, the School of Social Responsibility and the Human Capital Department.
The goal is to plant 400 oak trees to help restore the local ecosystem and improve the health of the soil, which has been affected by prolonged drought and last year's fires.
Volunteer participation was essential to the success of this project, which also aimed to foster a sense of community and environmental responsibility. It also served as a reminder of the importance of collective action to address environmental challenges and promote sustainability.
We would like to thank the Municipality of Huixquilucan for their support in carrying out this activity, as well as all the volunteers who lent a helping hand to reforest the area.
