Integral University Welcome 2024-2025: welcoming our new students

2,400 new students join the Anahuac Community on a day full of excitement and great expectations.

Every year, Anahuac Mexico University opens its doors to a new generation of students who enthusiastically begin the journey that will define the next years of their lives. 2024 is no exception. The Integral University Welcome (BIU) brought together 2,400 new students at the North and South campuses, marking the beginning of a stage that promises to be transformative.

North Campus

On August 7, from the early hours of the morning, the North Campus was filled with young people who curiously explored their new environment. The day began with the energy of the Dance Companies, a show that not only delighted those present but also reminded them of the importance of culture and art in their integral formation.

Soon after, the Rector of the University, Dr. Cipriano Sánchez García, L.C., took the microphone to give the official welcome. His message was a reminder of the mission that the Anahuac has maintained since its founding: to form not only great professionals but leaders of positive action.

He also shared details of the evolution of the University from its beginnings to becoming a nationally and internationally recognized institution, highlighting the recent inauguration of new degree programs and the growth of its community. In addition, he stressed the importance of resilience and leadership in training, motivating students to be the best in their respective areas and adapt to technological changes. He also mentioned the integral support that the University offers its students, including mentoring, tutoring programs and emotional and spiritual accompaniment.

With the official photo immortalizing this first day, the students continued their tour of the campus, where they participated in the “FESAL Activity”, a space for integration that allowed them to meet their future fellow adventurers. During the day, the official social networks were presented, which will serve as a communication bridge between students and the university community, and the Department of Technological Operations gave a tutorial to familiarize them with the digital tools they will use during their studies.
The day concluded with the University Life Fair, in which students discovered the extracurricular opportunities offered by the Anahuac, from sports to leadership and social commitment programs.

South Campus

On August 9, it was the turn of the South Campus, where the excitement of the new students could be felt in the atmosphere. The day began with a presentation on university life, followed by a FESAL dynamic that promoted student teamwork and cohesion. Throughout the morning, the young people listened to presentations about the university's social networks and received a welcome message from the rector, who reiterated Anahuac's commitment to educating leaders capable of transforming their environment.

One of the highlights was the presentation of the University Ombudsman and the Healthy Coexistence process, a space dedicated to ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all. In the afternoon, students enjoyed a taco lunch where they had the opportunity to socialize and share their expectations for this new stage.
In addition to the day's activities, the South Campus program included a series of workshops that students must complete through the Brightspace platform between August 9 and 25. These workshops, which focus on learning styles, academic integrity and technology tools, are essential for ensuring that new students are well-prepared for the challenges of university life.

First steps on a path of opportunities

At the end of the day, we had the opportunity to speak with several new students who shared various feelings about their first day at the university. Some mentioned the excitement of starting this new chapter, while others expressed anticipation for what lies ahead. Curiosity was also a recurring sentiment, as was pride in having made it this far and confidence in their abilities to meet the challenges ahead. Uncertainty was one of the most recurring words, along with excitement and a determination to make the most of every opportunity the university has to offer.

The Integral University Welcome 2024 is the first step towards a future full of possibilities, where each student will have the opportunity to develop professionally and as a leader committed to their environment.
