Social Commitment: Transforming the Future of our Anahuac Community

Liderazgo Anáhuac en RSU y Sostenibilidad
Anáhuac Mexico University reaffirms its social commitment with projects that positively impact society and strengthen its students' integral formation.
Social commitment has been a fundamental pillar of the University since the creation of the Anahuac University Social Action (ASUA) program in 1972. Over the years, the university community has worked on projects that promote social awareness and generate a tangible impact on society.
The Social Commitment Annual Report 2024 presents the initiatives developed in various areas, from student representation to volunteer activities, medium and long-term projects, and social service. These actions not only benefit communities in vulnerable situations but also provide students with the opportunity to become leaders of positive action.
Student leadership in action
The ASUA program consists of a student representation that promotes the implementation of social projects in each degree program. During the last year, 95 students were chosen to lead initiatives for the benefit of society, promoting a sense of responsibility and solidarity within the university community.
Furthermore, the Diploma in Student Social Projects for University Social Responsibility has been key in the training of these young people, providing them with the tools to design and implement high-impact programs. In 2024, 34 students successfully completed this diploma course, reaffirming their commitment to social development.
Volunteering and social action
Volunteering is a key element at Anáhuac. Throughout the year, more than 2,100 volunteers participated in 269 projects, addressing diverse causes such as education, health, inclusion and the environment.
Some of the most noteworthy actions include:
• Anáhuac Reforestation, with the planting of 300 trees that will capture 33.6 tons of CO₂ in 10 years.
• International brigades in Peru and Brazil, where students collaborated on health, education and sustainable development projects.
• Construction of housing for affected families in Guerrero, as part of the “Vamos x 5” campaign.
Development of joint projects
In 2024, Anáhuac Mexico University implemented 28 projects in partnership with companies and communities, with the participation of more than 450 students and volunteers. Achievements include the rehabilitation of community spaces, benefiting 1,200 people, the provision of classes and educational workshops for 680 children and young people, and the planting of 1,500 trees in reforestation programs. These initiatives reinforce the social impact and the integral formation of students as positive action leaders.
Social service: giving back to society
Social service allows students to apply their knowledge for the benefit of the community. In 2024, 1,700 students successfully completed their community service, while 2,242 started. With more than 340 collaborating institutions, Anahuac Mexico University continues to strengthen its commitment to society.
Each initiative reflects the spirit of solidarity that characterizes the university community. The collaboration between students, teachers and partners demonstrates that education not only transforms minds, but also realities.
