14 years of responsible leadership: Anáhuac Mexico renews its ESR® distinction

Recognition of our ethical leadership, social commitment and university sustainability.

For the fourteenth consecutive year, Anáhuac Mexico University has received the ESR® distinction, which is awarded by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (Cemefi) and AliaRSE to institutions that are committed to social responsibility, ethics, and sustainable development.

This institutional achievement reaffirms our commitment to training leaders who take positive action and integrate sustainability and the common good into their actions, programs, and policies.

This distinction was made possible through the coordinated efforts of the University Social Responsibility and Sustainability Committee and the consistent support of our schools, faculties, and administrative departments. All of these entities have embraced the vision of a university that is committed to its environment. This has helped to consolidate an organizational culture that is based on ethical principles, interdepartmental collaboration, and a long-term vision.

Although the ESR distinction is not a formal certification, it involves rigorous expert assessment of real institutional progress in social responsibility.

Over the past year, we have strengthened initiatives that extend beyond the classroom and beyond the campus walls. We align ourselves with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) because we believe that every small action matters:

• Our students participate in university volunteer programs that touch lives in communities most in need. We have organized workshops on mental health, equity and diversity because we understand that a strong university community is one where everyone feels valued and heard. Community reforestation projects have allowed us to connect with our natural environment, while student forums have provided spaces for our young people to reflect on sustainability and ethical leadership.

• We have worked on more inclusive and equitable internal policies because change starts at home. We have also promoted circular economy projects to help reduce waste and raise awareness of our environmental impact.

This distinction has profound meaning for our community. 

It represents a university that provides comprehensive training to professionals and conscious, committed and ethically responsible individuals. It also strengthens the profile of our graduates by associating them with an institution recognized for its ethical governance and social responsibility.

At Anáhuac Mexico University, we view social responsibility as an integral aspect of our work as a university. While this distinction affirms that we are on the right track, it also motivates us to continue growing. We understand that social responsibility is not a one-time achievement, but rather an ongoing commitment.
