Dr. Adolfo Laborde Carranco, professor and researcher of our School of Economics and Business was appointed ambassador for the North American region by the Fudan Development Institute (FDDI)--one of the most prominent think tanks in China-- for a 3-year period.
This appointment comes as a recognition to the academic merit and career of researchers specialized in China and who live outside said country.
Among other functions, the ambassadors collaborate in research projects with such institute, promote their events, and take part in the recruitment of visiting academics. It must be said that, along with these functions, Dr. Laborde Carranco will also be visiting professor during that same period.
Our faculty member is an outstanding analyst in international politics and global affairs, with broad experience and knowledge of the Asia-Pacific region, especially China, Japan, and Korea. He has kept an intensive and close collaboration with the FDDI, where he made a research stay in 2016 researching about the development policies in China, as an example for Mexico, and Latin America.
