Operational support engineer for Payments area to support HSBC Global Payment application (GPP) for Americas and other entities.
Job Description:
- Responsible for protecting production environment, ensure end to end high availability, performance and reliability
- Willing for continuous improvement, optimizing existing systems, managing infrastructure and reducing work through automation
- Understand the production issue/incident and provide workarounds / resolutions for a tier-0 applications
- Continuous awareness and contribution towards technology / application.
- Working in a 24x7 global operation team during Mexico shift.

Must have skill sets:
- Strong understanding of technology layers in application landscape, storage, OS, network, database, application.
- Systematic problem-solving approach.
- Work Experience of 3 years desirable 1 year in L0/L1 production support
- Strong verbal English communication
- Good understanding of Unix command and Shell scripting.
- Knowledge on SQL and Stored Procedures, preferentially in Oracle database
- Good troubleshooting/debugging C++ and/or Java code, SQL and Stored Procedures
- Work during Mexico shift on a follow of the sun (FTS) model, weekends (ROTA – based)
