On November 29, 2022, Dr. María Elizabeth De los Ríos Uriarte, research coordinator of the Faculty of Bioethics of our University, and Mtra. Adriana Sánchez Escalante, editor of academic journals of the Coordination of Academic Publications, presented the latest issue of the Medicine and Ethics magazine at the Guadalajara International Book Fair 2022.

On December 9, 2022, the IV Research Colloquium of the Faculty of Bioethics was held with the objective of showing the research work of our students, professors and researchers and being a space for dialogue to discuss and receive feedback.

Our PhD student in Applied Bioethics will participate in this program that works daily on bioethics training in the face of new health complexes and dilemmas in Latin America and the Caribbean.

On November 8, in the postgraduate auditorium of the Universidad Anáhuac México, the presentation of the Anahuac Center for Strategic Development in Bioethics (CADEBI), coordinated by Dr. Antonio Cabrera Cabrera, LC, who served as director of the Faculty of Bioethics of the Universidad Anáhuac México in the period 2012 - 2021.

People dedicated to providing health services have the legal, ethical, professional and human commitment to ensure the health and welfare of society. A physician must not only be trained in the academic and technical field, but must also build and work on his or her professional ethics. Continuous medical updating in evidence-based medicine and continuous training in the practical and clinical area, although of utmost importance, must go hand in hand with the application of ethical principles such as respect for autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence to the patient and justice. The analysis of real clinical cases in the light of ethics is a very enriching exercise to transcend in our daily practice. It is not only of great help to detect and prevent behaviors that could violate or attempt against the dignity of patients, but also to reaffirm the value and centrality of the human person in the medical approach.
