CADEBI, present at the V International Congress of Medicine of the Universidad Anáhuac Cancun

This congress brought together professionals and students who share an interest in facing current challenges in medicine and bioethics.

 

From October 24 to 26, the team of the Anahuac Center for Strategic Development in Bioethics (CADEBI) participated in a prominent way in the V International Congress of Medicine held at the Anahuac University Cancun, which dealt with Global Health.  

 

At this event, Dr. David Cerdio Domínguez, general coordinator of CADEBI, gave the presentation "Integrative model for global health", in which he highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration to improve health worldwide. For his part, Dr. Antonio Cabrera Cabrera, L.C., presented an in-depth reflection on the role of ethics in health care, entitled "Global Bioethics and Health".  

 

Our Social Service Medical Interns (MPSSS) also actively participated. Daniella Casillas shared her research "Disparities in access to opioids for the treatment of chronic pain and safe alternatives", focusing on barriers to access to treatments and proposing safe options. Carlo de la Llata, on behalf of Dr. Ignacio Ricaud, presented the work "Looking to the future: the implementation of smart contact lenses in daily life", a vision of technological innovation in medical devices.

 

CADEBI

 

During the poster session, Carlo de la Llata presented his research "Evaluation of neuroplasticity-based treatments for psychiatric pathologies", where new alternatives to treat mental disorders were explored. In addition, Samantha Cervantes presented "Preoperative diagnosis of body dysmorphia in plastic surgery: Impact on the quality of service", highlighting the relevance of identifying certain psychological disorders before aesthetic procedures to improve patient care.
