Thelma Peón invites BINCA students to research transhumanism

BINCA transhumanism

The coordinator of the Leadership class at DAFI called on students to consider topics of interest, even those that could be considered unconventional.

On September 6th, 2023, the first meeting of the research lines on Transhumanism was held with the purpose of convening students interested in this area.

During the session, Dr. Thelma Peón Hernández, coordinator of the Leadership class in the Academic Directorate of Comprehensive Training (DAFI), teacher and doctor in Philosophy and teacher in Bioethics, invited the students to consider topics of their interest, including those that could be considered unconventional.

She also explained her experience in the field of research and how she thought beyond the usual, which allowed her to carry out cutting-edge projects; she also has studies in behavioral neurobiology, feminism, thanatology, theology of the body and committees of ethics in research.

Likewise, some of the possible research that could be carried out during the semester was discussed with the aim of publishing the results and presenting them at national and international conferences.

The BINCA group (Clinical Bioethics and Anáhuac Neuroethics) has organized academic activities focused on interdisciplinary discussion and research since October 2014. This group is part of the Interdisciplinary Clinical Bioethics Project that encompasses the faculties of Bioethics, Health Sciences, Education and Humanities, as well as Psychology, all from our Universidad Anáhuac México.
