The CADEBI and the ANMB hold a session with the Health Committee of the Honorable Congress of the Union

In this space, comments were made regarding the regulation of palliative care and the possibility of collaborating with legislative proposals through research projects and doctoral theses. 

Members of the Anahuac Center for Strategic Development in Bioethics (CADEBI) participated alongside members of the National Mexican Academy of Bioethics (ANMB) in the Health Committee of the Honorable Congress of the Union. 

Doctor Alejandro Sánchez Guerrero, Coordinator of Engagement, and Dr. David Cerdio Domínguez, Coordinator and Secretary of the ANMB, joined this monthly academic session held on June 29, 2023, which had Ms. María Rebeca Alcaide Cruz, Technical Secretary of the Health Committee of Congress, as the speaker.

In that space, Rebeca Alcaide presented a reflection on the need to legislate from a bioethical perspective and discussed the legislative proposals and projects carried out by the Commission.

At the end of the presentation, Dr. Samuel Weingerz, President of the ANMB, and the academic members provided comments on the regulation and promotion of palliative care. The possibility of collaborating on legislative proposals based on research projects and doctoral theses promoted by the ANMB was also discussed.
