Patricia Hernández elected as vice president of the ANMB

From CADEBI, we wish the new board of directors of the Mexican National Academy of Bioethics much success in its continuous effort to defend and promote the dignity of the person.

 

On August 21, 2024, during the solemn session and general assembly of the Mexican National Academy of Bioethics (ANMB), held at the Angeles Metropolitan Hospital, Mtra. Martha Patricia Hernández Valdez, liaison assistant of the Anahuac Center for Strategic Development in Bioethics (CADEBI), was appointed as a member of the board of directors in her role as vice president for the period 2024-2026.

 

Ms. Hernández Valdez is a distinguished academic and professional in the fields of bioethics and psychology. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Applied Bioethics and holds both a Master's Degree and a Specialization in Bioethics from Universidad Anáhuac México, where she also earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with Honorable Mention. Her academic background includes several diplomas in areas such as bioethics in health services and legal psychology. Additionally, she is certified as an expert in legal psychology by the National Institute of Legal Development (INADEJ).

 

Throughout her career, she has conducted a variety of peer-reviewed research on topics such as conscientious objection, bioethics in palliative care, and the impact of obesity on cognitive function in children. In addition, she is the author of several popular articles in indexed journals.

 

In the academic field, she serves as coordinator of the online Master's Degree in Bioethics Studies at the Faculty of Bioethics of the Universidad Anáhuac México, she is a professor at various universities and an academic reviewer in recognized journals in her field. He is also an active member of several advisory boards and associations specializing in bioethics, legal psychology and neuroethics.
