In this meeting, the intellectual, pastoral and human legacy of Fr. Ferrer in the field of Ibero-American bioethics was honored.
On November 13, Dr. Antonio María Cabrera Cabrera, LC, Director of the Anahuac Center for Strategic Development in Bioethics (CADEBI), participated in the Conference of Homage to Fr. Jorge Ferrer Negrón, S.J., an event organized by the Latin American and Caribbean Federation of Bioethics Institutions (FELAIBE).
During the event, the members of the FELAIBE board of directors also participated, in a space for reflection on the profound impact that Fr. Ferrer generated in Ibero-American society, highlighting his intellectual, pastoral and human work in the field of bioethics.
Fr. Jorge Ferrer Negrón, S.J., was widely recognized for his interdisciplinary approach and his ability to promote dialogue between health professionals, philosophy, and social sciences. His work contributed to the development of a collaborative bioethics, focused on responding to complex contemporary ethical challenges. Through his texts, Fr. Ferrer left an indelible mark, inspiring future generations of bioethicists committed to a more ethical and humane society.
