On August 21, 2024, during the solemn session and general assembly of the Mexican National Academy of Bioethics (ANMB), held at the Angeles Metropolitan Hospital, Dr. Antonio Cabrera Cabrera, L.C., was appointed treasurer of the board of directors for the period 2024-2026.

 

Dr. Cabrera is a leading academic in the field of bioethics, recognized for his solid academic and professional career. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Theology with a specialization in Moral Theology, a Doctorate in Bioethics from the Ateneo Regina Apostolorum in Rome and a Doctorate in Interdisciplinary Research from the Universidad Anáhuac México.

 

He has held important positions such as director of the Faculty of Bioethics of the Universidad Anáhuac México (2012-2021), where he also led the Journal of Medicine and Ethics of the Faculties of Bioethics and Health Sciences, consolidating himself as a key figure in the promotion of bioethics in the country.

 

He currently directs the Anahuac Center for Strategic Development in Bioethics (CADEBI), from where he promotes innovative projects that strengthen interdisciplinary development in bioethics such as "Infertility", "Bioethics for All" and "Clinical Bioethics". His leadership and experience have been fundamental in research and teaching in ethics, standing out for his participation in the Mexican National Academy of Bioethics since 1995, in the Research Ethics Committee of the Anahuac University, and in the Ethics and Research Committee of the Master's and Doctoral Program in Medical, Dental and Health Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He is also a renowned speaker who has shared his knowledge in numerous congresses and courses nationally and internationally.
