Anáhuac University Mayab student conquers Texas with innovation in biotechnology

At the Anáhuac University Network, we are committed to training leaders capable of transforming the world through innovation, entrepreneurship and research.

A clear example of this commitment Accucell Biotechnology , a startup founded by Ethan Atlan, a 5th semester Biotechnology student at the Anáhuac Mayab campus, who won first place in the StartUp Texas Innovation Competition 2024.

The competition was an iniciative from Texas A&M y The Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation (BCIC) to promote projects that provide innovative solutions to global problems.

Accucell Biotechnology stood out for its innovative approach in using NASA technology and tissue engineering to create more efficient and accurate preclinical testing devices. Thanks to this innovation, it will be possible to change the way in which the efficacy of different drugs is tested by reducing animal testing and lowering costs.

Accucell Biotechnology's participation in this prestigious international competition is a clear example of how Anáhuac students can stand out on the world stage. At the Anáhuac University Network, we firmly believe in the potential of our students, and we are proud to be part of their growth and development.
