The competition was an iniciative from Texas A&M y The Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation (BCIC) to promote projects that provide innovative solutions to global problems.
Accucell Biotechnology stood out for its innovative approach in using NASA technology and tissue engineering to create more efficient and accurate preclinical testing devices. Thanks to this innovation, it will be possible to change the way in which the efficacy of different drugs is tested by reducing animal testing and lowering costs.
