Anáhuac Mayab University made history by becoming the first Yucatecan institution to participate with an official delegation in the INC Monterrey 2025: Face the Future festival , one of the most important entrepreneurship and innovation events in Latin America.
From March 18 to 20, more than 20 representatives—including entrepreneurs incubated or accelerated at tecniA Park and mentors from the A Hub ecosystem—traveled to Monterrey, Nuevo León, with the goal of creating strategic connections with key players in Mexico's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Inspiring Women Leaders
One of the highlights was the panel discussion "Raíces del Sur, Global Success: Yucatecan Women Who Transform ," featuring leaders who were graduates and collaborators of Anáhuac Mayab. This event showcased the female talent driving social and business development in the country:
- Tere Cazola (a pioneer of the Parque tecniA ecosystem), founder and director of Repostería Fina Tere Cazola, shared her inspiring entrepreneurial story, from starting out with $250 pesos to consolidating a brand with more than 100 branches and 1,000 employees.
- Nancy Zavala Chan (Master's in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, 2020), founder of Zavy (incubated at Parque tecniA. In 2022, she participated in the Shark Tank program). The creator of Biozano (natural cosmetics) also highlighted the importance of rescuing the art and traditions of Yucatán through entrepreneurship and digitalization.
- Gabriela Alzina (UAM collaborator), CEO of Scode, an EdTech platform specializing in digital transformation, who spoke about the role of technology in the evolution of business and its impact on business education.
- Lucy Gabriela González Denis (Business Administration, 1993; Master's in Marketing, 1998), Commercial Zone Director at OXXO Mexico, with over 25 years in the retail industry, spoke about growth strategies and business leadership. In 2024, she received the Generación Anáhuac Medal for her contributions to the business sector.
Connecting talent with large companies
Anáhuac Mayab's participation included its presence at the Monterrey Digital Hub 's Entrepreneur Summit , as well as the "inverted pitch," an innovative event in which companies share their challenges so startups can propose solutions. In this space, RodAi , a company founded by Ms. Ivonne Cervera Cetina, represented the state of Yucatán, sharing the stage with companies such as Cemex, Lamosa, and DeAcero.
The members of the delegation also presented their projects, establishing valuable connections for the growth of their initiatives.
Forward-looking entrepreneurial ecosystem
The participation concluded with a meeting with Fernando Huerta , founder of Cabrito Valley and Seals AI, who shared his experience as an entrepreneur selected by Y Combinator and offered advice on how to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Yucatán.
These types of experiences reflect the Anáhuac University Network's commitment to developing innovative leaders. Thanks to initiatives such as the A Hub —which includes incubators, accelerators, and areas of innovation, sustainability, and intellectual property—and the implementation of the Entrepreneurship Pathway within the Anáhuac Educational Model, students are encouraged to develop projects that respond to current challenges with creativity, ethics, and a global vision.
